Botanic Name: Lavandula Angusitfolia.
One of the first oils leading to the discovery of the concept of aromatherapy. At the end of the 19th century Gillette prepared the first after-shave for the Yardley company in England from Lavendula officinalis, to help treat cuts caused by shaving.The essential oil is extracte from the flower and the leaves. The oil is used for first aid for a multitude of purposes. To relieve pain and swelling caused by stitches.
Uses:Burns, irritations, bites, earaches, wounds, necrosis, disinfection, regeneration, insomnia, skin ulcers, relaxes, heals wounds.
Lavender Safety & Interaction Information
Lavender oil should not be taken internally and should not be used during pregnancy. Safety in young children, nursing women, or those with severe kidney or liver disease is not known.
