As we invite Shabbat into our homes by lighting the candles, these Shabbat angels will remind us that they are the guardians of light. This candleholder is inspired by Shraga’s childhood memory of Kabalt Shabbat ( welcoming the onset of Shabbat) and Sholkhan Aroukh when his father returned from Beit Hakenesset ( the Synagogue). And prior to the Kiddush, he recited a series of psalms whereby the first Mizmor “ Shalom Alikhem Malkhei Hashalom” is recited.
The base of the candleholder resembles the Shabbat Table whereupon the Angeles are linked to as if they have just landed. The images of the Angeles are designed ( to suggest an empt space surrounding them)
9 x 9 x 3 15/16 in.
